What's On Offer?

A permanent opportunity is now available for a highly experienced SOE Architect to join our End User Services team in Docklands, Victoria. The core function of the role is to architect solutions, provide oversight of SOE, projects implementations and activities for the delivery of a Desktop Managed Service.

The successful candidate will need to be able to take initiative and provide leadership and guidance to the technical team, monitor and manage SOE projects and provide 3rd level SOE support and desktop related problem management cases.  The role will also develop and streamline support and maintenance processes for standardised management across multiple customers.


  • Develop, document and maintain the SOE design principles for all of Fujitsu managed and virtual desktop and End User Services (EUS) customers
  • Develop and document desktop and EUS SOE design and implementation templates for generic customers for use against new opportunities;
  • SOE Design includes: installation model, Imaging model, managed application deployment model, inventory and reporting model, maintenance model;
  • Research new technologies for incorporation into future traditional and virtual desktop SOE designs;
  • Input into technical solutions for packaging of desktop applications for remote deployment;
  • Design all SOE management standards to adhere with Fujitsu's system management processes and tools, system monitoring processes and system access processes;
  • Develop training material and perform training of internal EUS support engineers;
  • Assist with the development and enhancement of relevant SOE design and build standards, procedures and guidelines;
  • Identify and raise service improvement initiatives to management for discussion;
  • Involvement in SOE deployment/refresh projects and any other EUS associate projects as required.
  • Provide 3rd level SOE support to Fujitsu support staff

What Do We Want from You?

Key Selection Criteria

  • 3+ years' experience in EUS SOE design, development and implementation covering technologies such as MDT, SCCM, Win8.1, Win 10, Apple MAC etc.;
  • 1+ years' experience in use, development or implementations of Citrix XenDesktop, VMWare View etc
  • Desktop management and deployment using a minimum of Microsoft SCCM 2012. Good to have CA ITCM, Altiris and Novell ZENWorks
  • Experience in Application Virtualisation technologies such as App-V, Thin-App or XenApp;
  • Experience in Application Packaging and Deployment concepts;
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows family of workstation Operating Systems Win 7 through to Windows 10;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows family of Server Operating Systems from Win 2008 to Windows Server 2016;
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft automated deployment methodologies from Win 7 to Windows 10;
  • Strong scripting capabilities in any language for Windows platforms;
  • Sound knowledge of Active Directory, including Group Policy Management and Design
  • Experience with Cloud technologies, Microsoft Intune, Azure, and Office 365. Good to have; Airwatch, Mobile Iron, any other Mobile Device Management tools.
  • Exposure to the processes of Incident, Problem, Change and Configuration Management;
  • Professional documentation skills for use in customer proposals, user training and technical documents;
  • General knowledge of varying Desktop, Laptop, Mobile Devices, and printer hardware;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft BitLocker Administration and Monitoring (MBAM) and Local Administrator Password Solution (LAPS)
  • 6+ years of managing and supporting desktop hardware and software;
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Experiencing in leading a team and providing escalation support

Technical Competencies

  • Solid experience in understanding best practices around desktop SOE implementations and transformations
  • Solid understanding of benefits of virtual desktop implementations
  • Solid understanding of decoupling applications from the operating system
  • Solid experience in user support, user training or LAN administration
  • Strong experience in problem resolution in a traditional and virtual desktop SOE environment
  • Strong ability to analyse trends and relate them to the existing SOE environment
  • Strong knowledge of SOE principles and concepts
  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal
