An opportunity has arisen within our Wellington office for you to take the next step in your career– the role on offer is a Change and Release Administrator and is a perfect opportunity for someone looking to build a career within the Change and Release functions, with long term progression opportunities being within Change and Release Management, Senior Change and Release Management and Team Leadership roles.

You will report into the Change and Release Team Leader and administer changes and releases for accounts lead by Change and Release Account Managers who closely supervise their accounts. You will administer using Fujitsu's published ITIL Change and Release Management Life Cycles – put simply managing the addition, modification or removal of anything that could have an effect on IT services within contracted IT Infrastructure environments. If you're up to the task you may also be asked to be the Account Manager's backup.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide an outstanding customer experience to all accounts that you administer
  • Manage the Change/Release Management Life Cycle through to successful completion and closure by administration of Change Management process control points
  • Deliver account reporting as required – Forward schedule of change, weekly/monthly reports etc 
  • Manage the implementation of an Emergency Change process with minimal impact to business 
  • Manage the delivery of Standard Change Process requirements for simple and effective changes
  • Ensure quality assurance and technical reviews are implemented on every requested change to the Customers environment
  • Escalate non-compliance and non-conformance to the Change and Release Management processes to your management
  • Ensure Customer approval is obtained and Technical Peer reviews are completed successfully and approval given to the Change Manager
  • Ensure the Change Management System is updated correctly and the change request's relevant documentation is attached to meet audit requirements.
  • Communicate clearly using appropriate communication methods to all peers, management and stakeholders as required is essential
  • Be open and flexible to changing accounts based on business needs and timing
  • Work within the wider change and release team as required.
  • Update work instructions and documentation as required
  • Provide backup for an Account change and Release Manager

What do we want from you?

Experience:

  • Looking for your next step within Fujitsu and able to demonstrate a keen interest in change/release management and an understanding of ITIL frameworks
  • Able to produce business documents using MS Office
  • Able to communicate with internal and external stakeholders- both written and verbal
  • Good analytical and attention to detail skills
  • Enjoy working as part of a team and by yourself, take accountability for your own work
  • Proactive, innovative mind set
  • Attentive to detail, timeframes and deadlines is essential
  • Past experience in a similar role would be ideal but is by no means essential – confident, positive attitude, enthusiasm, ambition and keen interest in the subject matter will be key attributes of the successful candidate.
